not moving
unconscious
on his way to work
blood stains on his necktie
the pressed white shirt
with extra starch
untucked
torn
covered in shattered glass
he had just woken up
45 minutes ago
showered
ate breakfast
shaved
kissed his wife
checked his e-mail
and his
to-do list,
never once
considering
the present circumstance
happens every day
to someone
and the best we can do
is hope
it’s not us
think about it…
